Madrid day 2

On the 2nd day in Madrid! I was ready to rumble along the area lined with branded boutiques to see some eye candy and hopefully get something I like back!

If you appreciate branded goods, you definitely have to visit this area! Get off the metro at Nunez de balboa and just a short walk, you will find yourself drowned in branded boutiques!

Place to get the ticket! Just like Barcelona, a 10 trip ticket can be used by many people!

On my way from the metro Nunez de balboa, mum and I chanced upon a church so we decided to go in and pray! It's a small and cosy church which was a very nice way to start our day!

Saw an amazing pair of heels at dolce and gabbana!

Then we reached the popular Chanel store! 😍

Yayyyy! I saw something in this store that I really really love and it was a vintage design so I had to take it home with me :)

Next, we went to the restaurant at el Cortes ingles along the same street! It's on the highest floor and the food was yummy!

Iced tea, nothing very special but it was refreshing!

What you are looking at now are the best churros ever! When they were served, I was thinking... Oh no they didn't serve it with chocolate sauce so it may not be as nice... BUT it was so awesome with the powdered sugar because without dipping this into any sauce, it makes you really taste how well the dough was done! Very crispy and chewy in the best way! Highly recommended if you are in that area!!!

This was egg omelette with potatoes and fresh tomatoes. It was something special and surprisingly also very tasty!

After lunch, I popped by the Louis Vuitton shop and omg I saw another super lovely bag! This alma in lilac colour was definitely made for purple lovers like me! Haha

After shopping it was early dinner at a Chinese restaurant I happen to chance upon and it was the best find ever! I spent my next 2 days coming back to the same restaurant because I just didn't have enough of the delicious good food and also because they have around 150 dishes in their menu! Such an extensive range of food choices!!!

This was one of my favourite food when I'm in Singapore! It's called nian gao or in English, rice cakes. I love eating it stir fried and has the best chewy taste to it! When I saw that they were able to cook it I nearly cried tears of joy! I miss this sooooo much :)

This was chicken Szechuan with rice and it was spicy hot but very authentic and really tasty! The strips of chicken were soft and the Szechuan vegetable complemented it so well!

This was one of the best lamb noodle soup I have ever tried! The soup was boiled so well and so flavourful and the lamb meat just falls apart in your mouth, you don't even have to chew it!

The restaurant owners were really friendly and especially so, because I was Asian and I was able to speak the same language. After dinner, they even served fruits which was on the house!

They even offered us fruit shots that was non alcoholic! So refreshing after a super filling and satisfied meal!

When you are in Madrid and missing good Chinese food, you HAVE to visit them!

Address: c/la reina 31, Madrid
You can also find them on Facebook called Qing ping guo restaurante (which I created for them!)

Missing this restaurant so much,
Kay
